Merging is the most common thing people need to do with more than one PDF: several scanned pages that should be one document, a cover letter and a resume, an invoice with its supporting receipts, or a set of reports that need to travel together as a single attachment.
The process is the same whether you have two files or twenty: add them, put them in the order you want, and combine. Nothing about the original files is changed - each one is read exactly as it is and placed into the new, single PDF.
Step by step
Add your PDF files
Drag them onto the page or click to browse. Add as many as you need in one go.
Merge PDFArrange them in order
Drag each file into the position you want it in the final document - the order in the list becomes the page order of the result.

Tips
- You don't need every file to be the same page size or orientation - merging keeps each page exactly as it was, so a mix of portrait and landscape pages works fine in one document.
- Get the file order right before merging; reordering afterwards means moving whole pages, which the page organiser can do, but it's simpler to set it correctly the first time.
- If you only need specific pages from one of the files rather than the whole thing, extract those pages first, then merge the smaller file in.
Common problems
The files merged in the wrong order.
The order in the upload list becomes the page order of the result, so drag files into place before clicking Merge. If you already downloaded, the page organiser can reorder pages in the combined file without starting over.
You want to combine only some pages of one file, not all of it.
Use Extract PDF Pages on that file first to create a smaller PDF with just the pages you need, then merge that into the rest.
The merged file is larger than expected.
A merged PDF is roughly the sum of its parts - if any of the originals were image-heavy, the combined file will be too. Compress it afterwards if size matters.
Frequently asked questions
- How many PDF files can I merge at once?
- There is no fixed limit - add as many as you need. Since merging runs in your browser, the practical limit is your device's available memory rather than an upload cap.
- Can I control the order of the merged pages?
- Yes - drag the files into the order you want before merging. That order becomes the page order of the final document.
- Does merging change the content of my files?
- No. Every page is carried across exactly as it was - text, images and formatting are all untouched. Merging only combines the pages into one file.
- Can I merge files of different page sizes?
- Yes - a mix of portrait, landscape, A4 or Letter pages works fine within one merged document. Each page keeps its own size and orientation.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. The merge happens entirely in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is transmitted or stored anywhere.
- Can I merge only specific pages instead of whole files?
- Yes - extract the pages you want from a file first, then merge that smaller file with the rest.
Doing several things to this PDF?
"Editing a PDF" is usually one of five different jobs. Open the file once and you can do all of them in sequence - reorder the pages, mark it, number it, sign it and shrink it - then download once at the end.
