PDF Workspace

Free to useNo sign-up requiredNo watermarkRuns in your browser

Most PDF editing needs more than one change: sign a contract, then stamp it CONFIDENTIAL, then number the pages, then shrink it before emailing it. Doing that with separate tools usually means downloading after every step and uploading the result to the next one.

PDF Workspace keeps one PDF open while you apply as many of these changes as you need, on one screen, with Undo and Redo working back across all of them. Every operation here is the exact same one the site’s individual PDF tools already use - this page simply lets you move between them without leaving, so you download once, at the end.

How this tool works

  1. Open your PDF

Choose a file. It stays in your browser - nothing is uploaded.

  2. Pick what to do

Sign, watermark, add page numbers, organize pages, add another PDF, compress, or a dozen other operations - pick as many as you need, in any order.

  3. Watch the change list grow

Every applied change appears in a running list, and the document preview and version history update as you go.

  4. Download once

Click Done when you are finished. You can still come back and keep editing before you close the tab.

How it works

The document is opened into memory once and kept there for the rest of the visit. Every operation you choose reads the version currently showing, applies its change, and records the result as a new version - this is the same undo-able version history the individual PDF tool pages already share, just presented as one screen instead of one page per step.

Switching between Watermark, Sign, Organize and the rest does not reload the page or lose your place: it changes which panel is showing, nothing more. Undo, Redo and Reset at the top act on the whole sequence, in the order you actually applied it, not per operation.

Converting to Word, Excel, text or images, and splitting into several files, produce something other than the one PDF you are working on, so those are one click away as their own page rather than a step in this one - the document you have built is exactly what they receive, already open.

What is here today, and what is not

Sign, watermark, page numbers, metadataIncluded - draw or type a signature, stamp text, number pages, edit document properties
Reorder, rotate, delete, extract pagesIncluded - a visual page board plus focused tools for each job
Add another PDF, compressIncluded - append another file’s pages, or shrink the file by re-encoding its images
Convert to Word, Excel, text, images; split into filesOne click away on their own page - the output is not a PDF you would keep editing here
Click-to-edit the existing text of the PDFNot available yet. Signing places an image on top of the page; it does not change the underlying text

Common use cases

  • A contract that needs a signature, a CONFIDENTIAL stamp and page numbers before it goes out.
  • A scanned report that needs its pages reordered, a duplicate page removed, and the whole thing compressed for email.
  • Two PDFs - a cover letter and a document - joined into one, then watermarked.
  • A form that needs its title and author corrected in the document properties after everything else is done.

Worked examples

An employment contract

Sign it, stamp CONFIDENTIAL across every page, add page numbers, then compress it - four changes, one download at the end.

A scanned report with a stray blank page

Delete the blank page, rotate two pages that were scanned sideways, and compress - all before a single download.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and changed by this page on your own device, using your browser. It is never sent to VSThiran and no copy is stored on any server. It is held only in the tab you have open, which is also why reloading the page clears it.

Can I undo something?

Yes. Each operation is recorded as a step, and Undo, Redo and Reset move between them. The last few steps are kept rather than all of them, because every step is a full copy of the document and keeping an unlimited number would exhaust the tab’s memory on a large file.

How is this different from opening one PDF tool at a time?

It is the same underlying document and the same operations - this page just keeps you on one screen while you use several of them, instead of visiting a separate page and clicking "Continue with this PDF" after each one.

Can I edit the actual text inside the PDF?

Not yet. You can sign it (place a signature image), stamp a watermark, and change the document’s title/author/subject, but changing the existing sentences of the document itself is not implemented.

What happens when I click Done?

You get a short summary of what you changed and a Download button. Nothing is finalised beyond that - you can click "Continue editing" and keep going, or come back later in the same tab.

Is my file safe?

It never leaves your device. Every change happens in your browser, and closing or reloading the tab clears it completely - there is no account and nothing saved on a server.
